Exploring Southeast Asia, One Field Note at a Time
I’m Bigdaddy.
For many years, I have worked in Korea across the fitness, wellness, business, marketing, and space industries.
I have built and operated fitness businesses, worked with studios and wellness brands, developed business strategies, created spaces, and worked with people from many different parts of the industry.
Now, my focus has moved beyond Korea.
I am spending more time in Indonesia and traveling across Southeast Asia — meeting people, visiting businesses, studying markets, attending exhibitions, exploring local culture, and building new projects from the ground up.
Frontier Bigdaddy is where I document that journey.
Why “Frontier Bigdaddy”?
At around 190 cm tall, I’ve had plenty of nicknames over the years.
“Bigdaddy” is one of the names that stayed.
“Frontier” represents where I am now — exploring new markets, meeting new people, and building things in places that are still unfamiliar to me.
I’m not trying to write from a desk as an outside expert.
I prefer to go there, meet people, see things for myself, make mistakes, learn, and record what actually happens.
From Korea to Southeast Asia
My background started in Korea, especially around the fitness and wellness industry.
Over the years, I have been involved in:
- Fitness and wellness businesses
- Pilates and training centers
- Education and workshops
- Marketing and business operations
- Commercial projects
- Brand development
- AI and digital projects
Today, I’m applying that experience to Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
Not by simply copying what worked in Korea, but by understanding how people, culture, business, and markets are different here.

What This Site Is
This is not a corporate news site.
It is a personal record of building, exploring, meeting, learning, and working across Southeast Asia.
Some posts will be about business.
Some will be about fitness.
Some will simply be about people, places, food, language, or something interesting I discovered that day.
Over time, I hope Frontier Bigdaddy becomes a useful archive for anyone interested in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
