About Bigdaddy — From Korea to Southeast Asia
Exploring Southeast Asia, One Field Note at a Time
I’m Bigdaddy.
For many years, I have worked in Korea across fitness, wellness, business operations, marketing, commercial spaces, and brand development.
My work has included building and operating fitness businesses, working with studios and wellness brands, developing business strategies, creating commercial spaces, and collaborating with people across different parts of the industry.
Today, much of my work has moved beyond Korea.
I am spending more time in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia — meeting people, visiting businesses, attending exhibitions, studying local markets, exploring culture, and building new projects on the ground.
Frontier Bigdaddy is where I document that process.
Why “Frontier Bigdaddy”?
At around 190 cm tall, I have had plenty of nicknames over the years. “Bigdaddy” is one of the names that stayed.
“Frontier” reflects where I am now: exploring unfamiliar markets, meeting new people, and building projects across Korea, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia.
The goal is not to write from a distance as an outside expert.
I prefer to visit places directly, meet people, observe how things actually work, learn from mistakes, and record what I find.
From Korea to Southeast Asia
My background began in Korea, particularly around the fitness and wellness industry.
Over the years, my work has included:
- Fitness and wellness businesses
- Pilates and training centers
- Education and workshops
- Marketing and business operations
- Commercial spaces and projects
- Brand development
- AI and digital projects
That experience now provides a foundation for projects in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
The focus is not on simply applying Korean models elsewhere, but on understanding how people, culture, markets, and business environments differ from place to place.

What This Site Is
Frontier Bigdaddy is not a corporate news site.
It is a personal media archive documenting people, culture, projects, business, and everyday discoveries across Korea, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia.
Some posts focus on business or fitness. Others focus on cities, people, food, language, culture, or something worth recording from the field.
As the projects develop, Frontier Bigdaddy will continue to serve as the place where those stories, connections, and experiences are collected.
